I want the strider but I don't want it to evolve to that ghast

I feel like the creeper could have had a bit more change between stages 2 and 3, and the switch from strider to ghast is very jarring, especially because it essentially comes out of nowhere. I think it should have been a cooler looking strider, or the 2nd and 3rd stages had more resemblance to each other.

It would be cool if the dog Pokemon had a special ability that made normal moves change to different types that represents the color of the collar it has on like if it had a the blue collar it would make normal moves water type
